Sri Lanka finally won the toss for the first time in the series and chose to bat in the 5th ODI against India at the Premdasa Stadium. India have already wrapped up the series 3-1.

India has gone in with five bowlers with Irfan Pathan coming in at number seven in place of S.Badrinath. Also in the team are Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh while Praveen Kumar and Harbhajan Singh have been rested.

Sri Lanka have rested Dilshan, Murali and Vaas and this might still play into the hands of the Indians
