West Indies legend Michael Holding has resigned from the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the decision to amend the result of the controversial 2006 Oval Test between England and Pakistan.

Pakistan had forfeited the Test match after refusing to return to the field following allegation of ball tampering from umpires Darrell Hair and Billy Doctrove.

The visitors were later cleared of the offence and on Thursday the outcome of the match changed from an England victory to a draw.
