The English Premier League is by far the richest in Europe, according to Italian internet sports business company StageUp. StageUp has conducted a study of the revenues generated by the top European leagues - and found that Englands Premier League made 1billion more than Italy's Serie A, which enjoyed the second biggest proceeds.

England's top division earns 2.43 billion euros a year, according to StageUp, with Serie A second on 1.43 billion euros.
