At least 11 LTTE cadres and three security personnel have been killed in clashes between the Tamil Tigers and the army in the restive northern Sri Lanka.

In pursuit of the Tamil rebels encircled at Konketiyawa, East of the Padawiya tank in Welioya, the security forces said at least 10 militants’ bodies were found scattered in the area.

Intermittent gunfire exchanges were reported in the area since this morning as troops claimed to have sealed all ‘way-routes’ combined
